A light novel series set against a Cold War–like space race in which the vampire-like Nosferatu species and humans aim for the Moon together. Centered on the meeting of Lev and the vampire girl Irina, it explores themes of discrimination between species, sacrifice and friendship, and the pursuit of dreams.
From its debut the series received strong critical attention and expanded across media (manga, anime, audiobooks). It won the 53rd Seiun Award (Japanese Long Form) in 2022 and is regarded as a work that bridged SF and light novel audiences.
