Description
Established in 1998. Selects 50 unpublished haiku by individuals aged 50 or younger; winners are announced in the Asahi Shimbun, and winning works are published in the monthly magazine Haiku Asahi. Suspended after the 10th edition due to the magazine's cessation with the June 2007 issue.
