Description

Established in 1994 by Kadokawa Shoten and Fuji Television, this is a newcomer literary award for horror novels sponsored by KADOKAWA and the Kadokawa Culture Promotion Foundation. From the 2nd to 18th rounds, it was divided into long-form and short-form categories, with the top work selected as the Grand Prize. From the 19th round onward, Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Reader's Prize are selected. After the 25th round (2018), it was merged with the Yokomizo Seishi Mystery Grand Award and reorganized as the "Yokomizo Seishi Mystery & Horror Grand Award".
