The Mephisto Award is a newcomer award for unpublished novels, soliciting entertainment works (mystery, fantasy, SF, occult fiction, etc.), with direct judging by editors. Winning works are published in Kodansha Novels, etc., and a Sherlock Holmes statue is presented.
