Oh Danny Boy marks Edgar Award finalist Rhys Bowen's triumphant fifth installment in her New York Times bestselling Molly Murphy mystery series. In turn-of-the-century New York City, Irish immigrant Molly Murphy is contemplating giving up PI work for something a little less complicated, less exciting. Molly has had quite enough excitement recently, thank you very much. Especially from the handsome but deceptive NYPD captain Daniel Sullivan, whom she'd like to avoid completely. But when Daniel is accused of accepting bribes and lands himself in the Tombs, the notorious city jail, he begs Molly to help prove he was framed, and after everything they've been through, she cannot turn him down. As she finds herself drawn further and further into the case, she begins to fear that Daniel's trouble is related to one of his investigations-catching the Eastside Ripper, a serial killer who is targeting prostitutes.

RHYS BOWEN is the New York Times bestselling author of the Anthony Award- and Agatha Award-winning Molly Murphy mysteries, the Edgar Award-nominated Evan Evans series, the Royal Spyness series, and several stand-alone novels including In Farleigh Field . Born in England, she lives in San Rafael, CA.

Reviews

  • It is a very good mystery book.

I like all of it and none dislike. It's a very good book and can't put the book down.

  • I really enjoyed this book

I really enjoyed this book. Molly Murphy is a brilliant character and the plot line is intriguing. The historical detail is fascinating and Molly's caring attitude in this era of hardship and poverty is touching. I intent to read the rest of the series. Thank you Rhys Bowen

  • Danny boy

I don,t know how but these books get better and more thrilling than all that go before! Can't wait to start 6!!!!

  • Headliner. Not easy to stop reading. Love her books

At first it seems all is lost but keep reading. Hope is everlasting. Page turner, suspenseful and keeping you on the edge of your seat.
