夢に向かってがんばろうという気に。 母親が陶芸に目覚めたのをよく思っていなかった加奈子だけど…。 父親の再婚話なんかも出たりしつつ、ちょっと大人になった少女の物語で読みやすかった。

イライラして、わくわくする夏!
加奈子は、両親の離婚をいつまでも受け入れないでいる。 父親は、新しい恋人との再婚を考えている。 母親は、娘への関心もそこそこに陶芸に熱中。 けれど、みんながみんなお互いを大切に想っている。 勝手だけど、優しく、不器用に生きている。 そんな日常が、やがて加奈子自身の心を成長へと導いていく。 子どもと大人が向き合って、お互いの心の殻をやぶっていく姿に感動しました。

両親が離婚している主人公：加奈子は、夏休みの間は北海道の父のもとで過ごすことになっていた。女性の影を薄々感づいていたが、小六の今年、再婚相手が空港に一緒に迎えにきてて――。 〜日常のささやかな事から、加奈子にとっての一大事までさらりと書かれているように思えるのに、押さえどころがしっかりと押さえてある、という印象を受けました。
