信州の心象風景
著者はグラフィックデザイナー／童話画家。絵本などで知っているひとも多いだろう。 本書は、著者の出身地／現住地である長野県を舞台とした画集・エッセイ集。 前半は「わたしのふるさと」という童画集（フルカラー）。四季それぞれの風景が描かれており、カーッと照りつけるような夏の河原、ニッコウキスゲの草原、お正月の囲炉裏端、まつたけ狩りなどが並んでいる。どこか懐かしく、あたたかい。 後半はエッセイ。故郷である信州がテーマとなっており、特に子どもの頃の家族や農業や遊びについて書かれている。大変だけど、とても楽しかったようだ。 原田ファンにはたまらない一冊だろう。
