生々しい夏のビーチの匂い。原色の女の子達。夏の狂気。名作だと思います。

第１４回すばる文学賞受賞だが．．．
ドラマなどでの大鶴義丹の『役』のイメージが強いせいか、この本を読んで少しガッカリした。 自分自身の体験談を書いている様だが、「小説」としては、いま一つ。 でも、『青春』『彼の想い』など、男性には共感する部分が あるのかも知れない。 村上龍が好きな人は、読んでみたら面白いかも知れない。

海、サーファー、もうこれだけ出てくれば、読者は飽きてしまうと思う。すばる文学賞をとったが、時代を感じてしまう。今読むと新鮮味は感じない。がっかりである。
