少女の感性のまま綴られた遠い日の癒えることのない記憶
子どもを虐げる親の不条理、虐げられる子の孤独や悲しみやあきらめ・・その捉え方がたしかで引き込まれるように読んだ。作者の安達千夏さんは、親に疎まれ虐げられる子の理不尽な思いを少女のままの感性で、なぜこれほど透明感にみちた文章で描くことができるのだろう。それは主人公が暮らす自然に恵まれた地方の空気や水の流れのように清冽で、心にしみいるように伝わってくる。主人公の少女時代を回想して描かれた「草の名を」は、作者の原点を感じる作品。読むと安達千夏さんの他の作品もより味わい深くなると思います。
