柳家喬太郎の落語が聞きたくて出版記念公演に行きました。 その後のサイン会にも並ばず、何日かたってから読み始めたのだけど… スタートはゆっくり、あってないような男性遍歴を経て妹弟子とコンビを組むあたりからストーリーが締まってくる。 「ハイヒールの中で小刻みに震えているのは足だろうか。三味線のバチを握りしめているのは手だろうか。」 …ほろりときたけどな。 漫談も続けてほしいので、☆４つ。

文は長いが、さらっと読める
芸人さんの世界の話なので、知識のない私は初めの方はよく理解できませんでしたが、中盤になって分かるようになってきました。特に葬式のシーンは笑ってしまいました。通常なら大顰蹙を買いそうな場面ですが。 文は長いですが、さらっと読める一冊です。

芸人さんって、いろいろ辛いことも多いんだろうなーと思います。 本書を読み進めていっても、芸事も、男との付き合いも、 うまくいかない事ばかり。 読んでてモヤモヤするのも、また確か。 でも、わずかだけどキラリと閃く瞬間が確かにあって、 心から「良かったね」と思えます。 そんな、不幸せと幸せのバランスが絶妙で、泣きそうになります。 良い小説でした。おすすめです。
