小説の形を借りた一遍上人論
これは、小説の形を借りた一遍上人論だと思う。 寂聴さんの一遍上人に対する強い思い入れが伝わってきます。私は一遍上人は凄い人だと思っていますので、大変面白く読めました。 ただ、あまりにも思い入れが強すぎて、一遍上人に興味のない人にとっては、小説としては退屈かも知れません。一遍や一遍聖絵についての解説めいた文章がかなりのページ数を占めています。 一遍上人または仏教に興味があるひとにはお薦めです。一遍上人の凄さがわかります。

一遍聖絵の感想を小説化
一遍上人や超一等を知りたく本書を購入しましたが、期待外れの内容でした。 本書の主人公は京都の老舗旅館の女将で、女将の人生を振り返りながら、 偶然出会った青年との交流を通じて、女将が新しい道へ歩み出すという話です。 一遍や超一に関しては、その女将を通じて、瀬戸内氏が一遍聖絵を観た感想を語っており、 聖絵の中で一遍と超一を対話させ、彼らの内側を描いてはいます。 しかし、踊念仏を始めたきっかけなどに関しての記述は無く、 一遍を知りたい方には物足りない内容です。
