はたしてこれだけの説明で十分か？
経済学の社会史というところは、書き手自身も認めているが、どうも戦時下のとらえ方が問題であろう。政治的、軍事的な側面があまりに足りないではないかと 思われる。戦時下を体験した人から聞くと、どうも本だけを頼りに論拠を構築するところが目立ち、体験者の話とかなり乖離が大きい。 戦後の混乱期に経済学を勉強した世代の人は、この本には、嘘ばかり書いてあり、本当のところがだいぶ抜け落ちている、とも言われた。 皇道経済学のどれほどの影響、どれほど支配されたかをもう少し書くべきであろう。当時の近代経済学は、少数で安井、古屋先生が研究していて、それが、どのようになるかは、池尾愛子先生の本のほうがよくわかる。 やはり、戦時下のことは本だけではわからん、という良い見本である。 戦時中に旧制高校、大学生活をしたものはよくわかると思う。
