  • Thanks Again Tony.

I have become totally addicted to Tony's writing. I can feel the heat, the cold, the aridity of the desert country. It is amazing to be so drawn into a book from the first few lines, I loved the book. If you have never delved into a Hillerman Publication, I would suggest that you get yourself down to a decent book store now and purchase a Tony Hillerman book. Be prepared to be transported to another time and place.

  • Coyote Waits is a great book

This book has both Jim Chee and Joe Leaphorn in it . It is a good mystery and doesn’t get solved until the last chapter although there a clues along the way and lots of Navajo culture to lean about. MM

  • A Colorful Thriller of the American Southwest

Navajo policeman Jim Chee arrives too late to pull a fellow officer from his flaming patrol car. As Chee recovers from his burns at an Albuquerque hospital, Lt. Joe Leaphorn discovers the tribal cop died not by fire, but by a bullet. And the man found with the murder weapon is the least likely suspect: an old shaman revered as a healer. Though still on medical leave, Chee joins Leaphorn in unraveling the layers of an outrageous plot fraught with murder and greed. Ever in the shadows is the specter of the mythical trickster Coyote. Again Hillerman draws us into the mysterious Navajo culture and the desolate beauty of the desert Southwest. This author is not just a master of mystery, but a long-time Albuquerque resident thoroughly versed in tribal customs.
