アメリカ人の視点によるミステリガイド
アメリカの古書店が選ぶミステリ100選です。1900年代後半の作品が多く占めており、ミステリ史に残る名作というよりも、あくまで今読んで面白い作品という支店で選ばれているようです。 これ1冊でアメリカ一般を代弁しているとは思いませんが、アメリカ”的”ベストミステリは、こんなものかと思うと面白いものです。 意外とイギリス系の作品が軽視されているようで、これもお国柄でしょうか。 ガイドブックとしては、作品に対する思い入れや雰囲気は語られても、あらすじが紹介されていないケースが多いので、購入前に要注意です。
