親しい人の死を受け入れるには物語が必要
死んだあとどうなるか。大きな自然の循環を心のよりどころとするのもよいのではないか。宗教が教える死後の世界に変わるものを作っていくことも必要なのではないかと考えさせられた。

だいすきな松成真理子さんの絵と、なんだろう？って気になるタイトルに 惹かれて読んでみました。 93歳のひいじいちゃんと2年生の男の子の交流。 熊撃ちだったじいちゃんの思い出話には、 熊に対する畏敬の念がにじみ出ています。 山があって、木があって、そこに熊が抱かれ生き、 熊撃ちを生業としていたじいちゃんがいた。 男の子は素直にその心を受け継いでいます。 生と死という深いテーマに行き着きますが、ヘンな深刻さはなく、 自然の流れに身を任せたじいちゃんが、命のバトンタッチをひ孫に温かく語ります。 すべてを包み込む大らかさを感じ取れます。 やはり松成さんの絵がすてきで、お話にぴったりです。
