フランス心理小説のまねか
明子という女とアフラートというアルジェリア人との不倫？ になりそうな話。明子には裕という夫と克行という息子がいるが裕はシモーヌと浮気していて、パリにいる。明子と克行はアルジェリアのアフラートと、明子の姉らしいその妻理恵のもとを二週間訪ねる。二人には三人の子供がいる。分かりにくい書き方をして文学的効果を狙っているが、空疎である。ひたすら明子とアフラートの会話と心理描写が続く。結局明子と克行はパリに帰っておしまい。まあ「エーゲ海に捧ぐ」もこんな感じだったが。
