甦る伝説の推理雑誌
戦後ミステリは爆発的なブームとなり、 数々の雑誌が創刊されましたが、「別冊宝石」は「宝石」の 弟分としてできました。 当初は「宝石」を補完するものとして位置付けられていましたが 徐々に新人コンテストの候補作を一挙に掲載したり 海外作家の長編を一括掲載するなど、独自の方向性が見えています その「別冊宝石」に掲載されたまま埋もれてしまった作品群を 編纂したのがこの本。 ミステリーの資料性も非常に高いものとなっております
