本の題名は、内容に合ったものでなければならない
羊頭狗肉という。この本の題名を見ると、鈴木三重吉の「赤い鳥」物語と誰も思うであろう。 赤い鳥が翔んだとは、赤い鳥が生まれた雛から成長して大きく羽ばたいた、つまり雑誌として大成功を収めた意味ではないのではないか。 童謡の雑誌の「赤い鳥」が成功して、全国的に広がっていく過程を描かれていると思うのは当然である。 「赤い鳥」がどのようにして発展し、日本に児童文学として定着したか、鈴木三重吉と彼を取り巻く人脈は･･･ しかし、この本の内容は、まったく異なる。「赤い鳥」物語など、まったく出てこない。鈴木三重吉の娘の物語に終始している。 鈴木三重吉はほとんど登場しない。無論、大恩人の北原白秋も出てこない。 娘鈴木ずずの物語など何の興味もわかない。 これほど本の題名と内容の異なる本も珍しい。
