Work Information

This Shunjusha score series edited by Motonari Iguchi supported piano education in Japan.

Motonari Iguchi was a Japanese pianist and educator who edited the Shunjusha "World Music Anthology: Piano Series." The award subject in the 1950s was the series as a whole, and Shunjusha continues to publish volumes as the "World Music Anthology Piano Series, Motonari Iguchi Revised Edition." This payload uses the current "Baroque Piano Collection" volume, ISBN 9784393918227, as one representative identifier. NDL Search also confirms older volumes published around 1950.

Review Summaries

  • Long referred to as the Iguchi edition, the series is handled in music libraries as a large-scale score collection. Including the question of accompanying commentaries, its role as material for performers and students to understand works can be confirmed.
