８６才の人生で最も感動した本です。座禅・禊・合気道・ビジネスで鍛えたつもりの自分の浅さを思い知らされました。
私が敬意を持つ“五木寛之”氏と、私には無名の作家“立松和平”氏の対談「親鸞と道元」を読んで、お二人の人生・宗教に対する深淵な知識と情熱に感動し、“立松和平”氏のこの本を読んでみました。鎌倉の円覚寺に学生時代４年通っても、全く理解出来ず、哲学者の西田幾多郎の“善の研究”（禅の剽窃だと言われた）を読んでも掴めなかった禅が、この分厚い本上下二冊で、ハッと大きく気付くところがありました。日本の代表的な宗教である「禅」を理解しようと思う方には、 是非読んでいただきたい本です。

１１年前の発行なのに状態が実にいい！
状態はたいへんいいです。この厚さはすごいです。今はもう単行本は絶版ですが、単行本で読めることに喜びを感じています。ありがとうございました。
