＜吉田文憲の「六月の光.九月の椅子」を手にして僕は彼の評論集「「さみなし」にあはれの構造」を読んだ時の魅入られるような感じを想起していた。現代詩の基本的性は「さみなし」であるという彼の指摘は、抒情を押えた書き方によって長く持続的な影響を現代詩に与えていると思われる。因みに、この評論集は九一年に出版され、ひたすら感覚の解放を歌ったりしていた戦後詩に引導を渡す書のひとつとなった。＞＜僕はこの評論集を読んで、なぜ吉田文憲は空なる共同幻想について語らなければならなかったのかと考え、それは彼こそが「失った」という空を見詰めているからだと思った。＞＜そうした場所にいる吉田文憲の今度の詩集は「優しさ」に満ちている。勿論、「やさしさ」は空を満たしはしない。谺さえ響かない。しかし今までに響くことをさえ禁じてきた、意志と言っては強すぎるが、姿勢のようなものが吉田文憲の詩にはあった。今度の詩集はそれさえ姿を消したところで成立している。＞＜転身へと僅かに身じろぎをした「さみなし」の詩人こそ、現代への批評性というものではないだろうか。＞ .....山本健吉文学賞選者の辻井喬氏の優れたかつ的確な選評より引用させていただいた。良い詩集です。
