1952年12月、静岡県生まれ。広島大学教育学部聾課程卒。大学時代、羽衣町松林方を経て広島の詩人さかもとひさし宅の2階に下宿。 比治山、段原町を歩くことを日課とする。卒業後上京、教員生活を送りながら詩作を続ける。78年第1詩集『公孫樹』(青土社)、83年『昇天 貝殻敷』、89年『みおのお舟』、95年『白V字 セルの小径』で第7回歴程新鋭賞受賞。 97年日附を付けた文集『黒球』(りぶるどるしおる26)、2000年『梢にて』(以上5冊、書肆山田)で第8回萩原朔太郎賞受賞。01年11月に渡仏、オルレアン国立劇場などで自作を朗読する。03年静岡県文化奨励賞受賞。05年『隅角 ものかくひと』(思潮社)。 09年4月フランシスカン・チャペルセンター(六本木外国人共同体)で受洗。
