夜のバザール

Japan Poets Club Award

夜のバザール

山本博道

Night Bazaar is a poetry collection in which Hiromichi Yamamoto depicts people, customs, and landscapes encountered while traveling through Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and elsewhere. Layering images of lanterns, river sluices, and the remains of hot-air balloons, its 25 poems connect everyday life and the shadows of history seen in transit.

Work Information

A poetry collection that gathers landscapes and people encountered across Asia into 25 travel poems.

Published by Shichosha in May 2022 as a hardcover A5-volume, the collection arranges things encountered by the poet on his travels like a road movie.
