詩集は楽しめるかが問題
詩集を買う人は少ない。でも、読書の楽しみの中に詩があるのは確かなのだ。今の日本で詩が読まれないのは現代の詩が、一読何が書いてあるかよくわからないからだろう。しかし、音楽を聴くとき、絵を見るとき、人はそんなにその作品の意味などを意識しないだろう。教訓を求めないだろう。よい詩も意味や教訓を意識しなくでも言葉の世界自体を楽しめるものだ。この詩集はH氏賞受賞作「ヘンゼルとグレーテルの島」から始まった詩人の「内在するファンタジーを読み解く旅」の到達点かもしれない。その意味でこの詩人のファンはもとよりファンタジーに親和性を持った読者の、「詩に浸りたい欲求」を十分満たしてくれるだろう。
