A novel by Eikan Kyu, serialized in Taishu Bungei from August to November 1955 and published as a standalone book by Kindai Seikatsusha in June 1956. Secondhand-book listings confirm the original edition as a 302-page, 19 cm first edition. The original predates ISBN use, but the 2005 Media Factory volume Kieta Naokisho: Otokotachi no Ashioto-hen fully includes Hong Kong; KADOKAWA and NDL OPAC confirm ISBN 9784840112925 for that collected edition.

やはり意義あるアンソロジー
川口さんは非公式直木賞サイト「直木賞のすべて」を主宰されているのであるが、その研究熱心さにはいつも脱帽している。この第二弾のアンソロジーも入手困難な直木賞作品を５作品集めると同時に川口氏によるコラムがまたスパイスが効いていい雰囲気を醸し出している。 「香港」などは古本市場でもめったにお目にかかれない作品であるが故にありがたい限りである。 直木賞完全読破を目指す方も目指さない方も是非読んで欲しい。
