東宝特撮映画ファンなので
「地球防衛軍」「宇宙大戦争」「妖星ゴラス」「宇宙大怪獣ドゴラ」と東宝の宇宙ものに原作を提供してきた著者なので、東宝特撮ファンの資料として購入しました。「ドゴラ」の原作「スペースモンス」など東宝映画の原作も収めて欲しかったのですが。 日本SF揺籃期１９５０年代のＳＦの資料としても意義があると思います。現在名を残している大作家に比べたら、埋もれていったのは仕方がないでしょうが、思い出してもいい作品集（第二巻も併せて）と評価しておきます。

「宇宙大怪獣ドゴラ」などの特撮ものの原作者としてのみ知られていた幻の作家のＳＦ作品「鉛の小函」を初めとした作品集。怪奇風味のミステリは面白いが、ＳＦの方はどうしても古く感じられてしまう。
