感動しました
絵のことは分からない素人ですが、書かれている内容には感動しました。7人の画家、芸術家が取り上げられ、紹介されていますが掲載されている絵を見ても、感激するあるいはその価値を理解できるほどの能力を持ち合わせていませんが、著者のその画家に寄せる熱い思い、画家の持つその情熱、日常生活の紹介には目頭の熱くなるものがあります。北海道で貧しい酪農で辛うじて生計を立てながらベニヤ板に絵を書いたといい、32歳で亡くなった神田日勝。神秘的美しさをもった銅版画の長谷川潔、彼はは若くしてフランスに渡り、故国に思いを寄せながら、孤高の人として生涯をフランスで過ごした。著者がフランス留学中に交流したその思い出が暖かく描き出されています。その他の画家との交流も著者の暖かい人柄が滲み出ており、感動しました。
