Kanki Hanran is Matsuo Watanabe's first tanka collection, published by Hon'ami Shoten in 1997 and awarded the Modern Tanka Poets' Association Prize in 1998. Reissued by Kankanbō in 2021 as part of the Contemporary Tanka Classics series, it makes this early representative work available to readers.

渡辺松男(わたなべ・まつお) 一九五五年五月、群馬県伊勢崎市生まれ。前橋高校を経て東京大学文学部卒。 歌集に『寒気氾濫』『泡宇宙の蛙』『歩く仏像』『けやき少年』『〈空き部屋〉』『自転車の籠の豚』『蝶』『きなげつの魚』『雨る』。句集に『隕石』。 現代歌人協会賞、ながらみ現代短歌賞、寺山修司短歌賞、迢空賞を受賞。「歌林の会」会員。
