1966年、群馬県桐生市生まれ。慶應義塾大学大学院修士課程修了。詩人。埼玉大学教授。詩誌『ミて』編集人。詩集に『タマシイ・ダンス』(未知谷、小熊秀雄賞受賞)、『ベットと織機』(未知谷)等。英訳詩集に『Factory Girls』(Action Books、Jeffrey Angles編)等。評論に『唐十郎のせりふ 二〇〇〇年代戯曲をひらく』(小社刊、吉田秀和賞受賞)。編著に『東北おんば訳 石川啄木のうた』(未来社)。共著に『世界文学としての〈震災後文学〉』(明石書店)等。アイオワ大学国際創作プログラム2019招待参加。企画制作した映画に、『東北おんばのうた』(監督・鈴木余位、山形国際ドキュメンタリー映画祭2021アジア千波万波部門入選)。
