詩人・木下夕爾は、詩と俳句を手放さずに生きた。 東京・御幸村・広島/戦前・戦後、その先へ。 夕爾が遺した一筋の光を辿る。 木下夕爾(きのした・ゆうじ) 大正3(1914)年、現在の福山市御幸町に生まれる。『若草』の投稿家として注目され早稲田高等学院に学ぶが、家業の薬局を継ぐために名古屋薬学専門学校に転じ、昭和13(1938)年帰郷。昭和15(1940)年、第6回「文芸汎論詩集賞」受賞。詩集に『田舎の食卓』(昭14)『生れた家』(昭15)『昔の歌』(昭21)『晩夏』(昭24)『児童詩集』(昭30)『笛を吹くひと』(昭33)、句集に『遠雷』(昭和34)がある。同人詩誌『木靴』句誌『春雷』を主宰する。昭和40(1965)年8月4日逝去。絶筆は「長い不在」(『中國新聞』昭40・8・5)。
