一九六三年、北海道千歳市出身。江別市で育つ。北海学園大学法学部法律学科卒業。札幌学院大学人文学部英語英米文学科卒業。北海道教育大学大学院教育学研究科修士課程修了。地域の文芸誌に随想・随筆を寄稿するなど執筆活動を続けてきた。長編小説は本書が初となる。江別市在住。
