田中 直子（たなか・なおこ） 熊本県熊本市生まれ。活水女子短大（現・活水女子大）日本文学科卒業。1990年～93年、熊本日日新聞に童話を掲載。愛蔵版県別ふるさと童話館４３『熊本の童話』（日本児童文学者協会編、リブリオ出版、2000年）に「ヒメの野望」が収録。

応援されて嬉しい人、嬉しくない人、がんばりすぎてしまってがんばらなくていいよと言ってあげたい人…いろいろな場合があるよねと思えた。 児童会の面々等、登場人物がなかなか面白かった。
