加藤 幸子 1936年札幌生まれ。41年両親とともに北京に渡り、47年引揚船に乗り帰国。北海道大学農学部卒業。農林省農業技術研究所に勤める傍ら、「三田文学」に作品を発表。72~89年自然観察会代表。82年「野餓鬼のいた村」で第14回新潮新人賞、83年「夢の壁」で第88回芥川賞、91年『尾崎翠の感覚世界』で芸術選奨文部大臣賞、2002年『長江』で毎日芸術賞を受賞。08年から財団法人北海道文学館顧問。日本野鳥の会会員。
