Judge Deborah Knott blows the lid off a murder investigation with gale force winds in this newest entry in the award-winning series. As Hurricane Fran strikes the North Carolina coast, Judge Knott seeks clues to a motel murder and a determined killer finds a perfect time to strike again.

" MARGARET MARON grew up on a farm near Raleigh, North Carolina, but for many years lived in Brooklyn, New York. When she returned to her North Carolina roots with her artist-husband, Joe, she began a series based on her own background and went on to write Bootlegger's Daughter, a Washington Post bestseller and winner of the major mystery awards for 1993. Her next Deborah Knott novel, Southern Discomfort, was nominated for the Agatha Award for Best Novel; Shooting at Loons, which followed, received Agatha and Anthony award nominations, and Up Jumps the Devil won the Agatha for Best Novel of 1996."

レビュー

  • Sad to finish this one!

I had missed this in my Maron collection-another familiar and provocative many faceted story. I went through Fran here, in North Carolina, as a young and struggling single mother. My children’s Dad passed a week ago so I guess it would be inevitable i finish this book today. Ms.Maron will always be favorite author. I read one of her books every summer.

  • Love her books

Love her books. This one was not as good as some of her others, but loved it as I lived through Hurricane Fran when I lived in NC.

  • Storm Track

This book was dynamic from beginning to end. Most of the others in this series begin and develop at a measured and slower pace. This was just the opposite. Enjoyed it.

  • Kezzie is the comic relief

This book further develops characters we have met in previous Knott books. It has a fairly happy ending. Sometimes I think Maron is totally anti-marriage and then she does something that makes you wonder. I love Kezzie Knott. I do not drink, but my grandfather was a bootlegger. He sure worked a con on that ignorant preacher.

  • Always a pleasure!

Margaret Maron's books are always a treat. Storm Track is no exception. If you haven't read the whole series I highly recommend you do so. I know you'll enjoy every word.
