レビュー

  • N'est pas de Francis Bacon

Bonjour, Ceci n'est pas le texte original traduit en anglais, c'est une explication du texte original, le livre n'est donc pas écrit par Francis Bacon. Cordialement.

  • How to observe nature, 400 year old advice.

Bacon's musings 400 years ago has enlivened the thinking of many people . Like the thoughts and wonderings of a child. Page 122/13 under the subheading of the of " Forms of heat" All shaggy substances , as wool, skins of animals, and plumage of birds, contain some heat. Page 123/27 Even a severe and intense cold produces a sensation of burning. Bacon can rightly be called the " Father of Science" He opens the mind to a wonderful but oft-times troubled world. Remember this bok was written 400 years ago.

  • Brilliant

What a mind! Francis Bacon put it together real well. It is a slow read but worth the time to reflect on how the philosophies of the often quoted Plato, Aristotle etc. had such an influence and still do. In some aspects Bacon takes them to task and rightly so. His whole premise of you are the authority on your own truth and experience was not popular in his time and people despised him because he advocated this. His theory is now proving to be true in our day - thank goodness. Your experience is your authority combined of course with all you learn. But ultimately you should have the final say about you and your experience.

  • absolutely brilliant!

    absolutely brilliant!

  • THE FIRST TRUE METHOD GIVEN TO MAN OF DISCOVERING ACTUAL SCIENTIFIC TRUTHS

The book itself is 5 stars (and more, if there were more stars) - The author gave us - for the first time in history - a concrete and very honest method of obtaining knowledge and certainties, by developing the scientific method (by induction) of research and discovery. (What would really make this a top-rate book, is if an editor had inserted a glossary of terms for quick reference at the back of the book, to clarify the meanings of certain words as used by the author in the context of the book).
