  著者43歳、1987年の小説です。 もし老婦人が若者を打ち始めたなら、3年目の学部長が 中学生のようにピストルを撃ち始めたなら、地区の警察署長が 盗みを孫に教え始めたなら、そしてもし、自分が全て間違って たと主張したなら、私は質問する、"人は何処へ行くのか？"と いつも心の優しいバンジャマン･マロセ－ヌは自問します。 1987年のベルヴィルで、ある警察官は凍てつく朝、道を横切ろ うと助けたかった老婦人にピストルの弾で撃たれました。 その地区では老人達への殺人が倍増していました。他の老人は 内閣の集会で麻薬を提供してるのを見ます。また他の老人達は 人生の趣味を再度挙げたバンジャマンの家族に迎えられます。 "おじいさん、もし、あなたが自転車を失くし始めたなら、或いは 階段で息苦しくなったなら、婆さんが助けるのを待たず、私の所 に来て、着飾ってあげるよ"、しかし彼は首都のすべての刑事に 理想的な罪人になります。 建築家が、老人所有の家を改装し、再販売します。アパートが 上下に揺れた女ジャーナリストは橋に投げ捨てられます。二人の 刑事ヴァンチアンと犯罪者を裁判にかけさせるのに確実な方法 を持つ非常にに若い男、パストルが解決しなければならない混乱 です。 タイトルはカラボス、恐ろしいせむし達のの祭り、フランスの童話 を示唆しています。著者は述べてます、"この本で、年寄りを身近 に調べた、人だけでなく、感情、国家、思想の年寄りだ"、と言い ます。

  Un Daniel Pennac...Au TOP, la suite de la saga Malaussène

• Lot of crimes, lot of humour

  There are three reasons why I love this book: First of all because of the Malaussene family and their friends (being all immigrants and / or old people), already introduced in "Au bonheur des ogres". I adore them, so strange they are! But there are also some new caracters with surprising qualities (i.e. policeman Pastor). Second point is the plot - with lot of crimes (murder of a policeman, serial killing of old ladies, attempted murder of a journalist). Of course, Malaussene, the professional scapegoat, is again perfect suspect... All the crimes relate to treatment of old people in the society, leading to their isolation, loneliness, exposure to abuse and drug dependence. This is the point why I like it more than the first part: because it touches present days problems, whereas the crimes in "Le bonheur des ogres" had their origins in the WW II. And - last but not least - the humour! Unbelievable to serve such a crime story in form of a comic novel! In total: very good entertainment! And very good language training for us non-French readers.
