Legacy
A writer who builds on tanka technique to produce poetry, novels, children's literature and scripts. Recognized in both contemporary tanka and children's literature through prizes such as the Kadan Prize and Tsubota Jōji Literary Prize. Her work has been adapted for film and she has engaged in teaching.
