Legacy
Dozan Fujiwara has contributed to the contemporary development and internationalization of Japanese traditional music by respecting shakuhachi tradition while actively collaborating with contemporary musicians and international artists. As an educator at Tokyo University of the Arts he has trained younger players and helped build networks for emerging shakuhachi performers.
