Shin Godzilla
2016 Film (tokusatsu / sci-fi)A tokusatsu film depicting Japan's response to a newly emerged Godzilla. Higuchi served as director and special-effects director, sharing directorial honors with Hideaki Anno and winning multiple awards.
Shin Ultraman
2022 Film (tokusatsu)A modern revival of Ultraman. Higuchi participated as director, storyboard artist and cinematographer, blending sci-fi elements with tokusatsu artistry.
Gamera: Guardian of the Universe
1995 Film (tokusatsu)The first film of the Heisei Gamera trilogy. Higuchi served as special effects director and received acclaim for the film's tokusatsu work.
The Floating Castle
