Trivia
- He was active as a jazz saxophonist and formed 'Hirose Tadashi and the Skytones' in 1952.
- There was a film project (with Toshihachi Fujita) adapting 'Minus Zero' for which he co-wrote a script; the project was shelved and the script is said to have been placed in his coffin.
- He wrote scripts for anime and TV programs such as Big X, Space Ace and Mach GoGoGo.
