An autobiographical book recounting his life as a rakugo performer, anecdotes and thoughts on the art.
Recollections of stage experience, work on the TV show Shōten, and his approach to rakugo.
He devoted himself to reviving classical rakugo and training younger performers, and became a household name through the TV program Shōten. As chairman of the Rakugo Geijutsu Kyokai he contributed to institutional leadership and is regarded as a leading figure in Japanese popular performing arts.
