Original photo-typesetting characters for 'Dai Kan-Wa Jiten'

1960 Technical / photo-typesetting character production

Commissioned to produce photo-typesetting master characters for the 'Dai Kan-Wa Jiten' compiled by Tetsuji Morohashi. Although initially hesitant due to illness, he ultimately accepted and single-handedly created roughly 50,000 master characters over eight years. The set of masters supported the publication's completion in 1960.
