Legacy
Hidetoshi Nagasawa was internationally recognized for a consistent practice centered on ideas; he left numerous permanent installations and retrospectives, particularly in Italy, and is well known in Japan for touring exhibitions and public works.
Trivia
- Born in Manchukuo (now northeastern China) and repatriated in childhood to Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
- In 1966 he traveled across Eurasia with only $500 and a bicycle after marrying his wife.
- From 1967 he was based in Milan, Italy, for his artistic practice.
