A collection of short stories set chiefly in Tokushima, exploring nostalgia, memory, and family relationships. The book is composed in lyrical prose with detailed depictions of regional life. Included pieces are "Blue Sky Crisis", "Peach", "A Wooden Horse Living in the Sky", "Knife", "The King and the Poem", and "Bell Sound".
Recognized as a writer and scholar who contributed to the revitalization of regional literature in Tokushima. He supported local literary activity by founding the Tokushima Literary Association, launching the magazine 'Tokushima Bungaku', and helping establish the Awa Shirasagi Literary Prize. Academically, he has published research on Osamu Dazai and contemporary authors.
