Fumiko Shinsho debuted after winning the Edogawa Rampo Prize and is regarded as a postwar Japanese female mystery writer. With a background in Takarazuka, she wrote widely from children's tales to serious mysteries and practical books on fortune-telling.
Trivia
- She was a member of the 29th class of the Takarazuka Revue and performed under the stage name Kyo Chisuzu.
- Her Edogawa Rampo Prize-winning work 'Dangerous Relations' was the first Rampo Prize winner to be nominated for the Naoki Prize.
- Her birth name was Mitsuko Nakajima. She also wrote children's stories and books on fortune-telling.
