Legacy
A leading shite actor of the Kita school. Designated holder of the Important Intangible Cultural Property "Noh" in 1986, he has contributed to the preservation and promotion of Noh. Recipient of the Arts Encouragement Awards (Minister of Education Award) in 2007 and awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2008. Founder of "Shiotsu Noh no Kai", organizing performances in Fukuoka and Tokyo.
