A landmark long solo piano work by Morton Feldman commissioned for and premiered by Aki Takahashi. Takahashi is known as a prominent interpreter of Feldman's music.
A project to edit, perform and record the piano works of Erik Satie. Through a series of concerts in 1975 and recordings, Takahashi contributed to the study and dissemination of Satie's piano music.
Widely acclaimed as a contemporary music pianist domestically and internationally. Known for interpretations of works by Feldman and Takemitsu, contributed to the study and dissemination of Satie, and premiered many works dedicated by composers.
