Legacy
One of Japan's leading contemporary dancers and choreographers. Commissioned by major companies and theatres internationally, he has received numerous honors and broad recognition. As an educator he has contributed to training younger artists and is known for expanding the expressive range of contemporary dance.

- Co-founded the contemporary dance company KARAS in 1985 with Yoshiko Miyata.
