Legacy
Takashi Tsuda was a leading critic in democratic literature, known for his work on proletarian literature and the relationship between writers and politics. As a Central Committee member of the Japanese Communist Party his stance sometimes became the subject of controversy, but through editing and commentary he contributed to postwar leftist literary studies.
