A mountain photographer waits for dawn in a snow cave he has dug into a slope, hoping to photograph frost-covered trees in the morning light. In the brief stretch of cold and sleeplessness, his inner life and memories of the past emerge.

A debut short story that vividly captures a photographer's quiet tension and recollections while waiting for dawn in a snow cave.
